About
We're Tendai and Tinashe — two students at Stellenbosch who got tired of guessing which shop was cheaper.

Tinashe started EasiShop almost as a side project. Growing up, his mom used to flip through paper catalogues to see where milk or bread cost less. He figured there had to be an easier way — so he built one.
Tendai came on board to help turn that into something people would actually want to use: clearer design, a bit of brand, and a lot of listening to friends and family who tried it.
Why we built EasiShop
We built EasiShop to help grocery shoppers in the lower to middle income range save money. With rising inflation, South African shoppers need to save — but finding the best grocery deals still means juggling multiple stores, websites, and apps.
Our own frustration led us to build a solution. Overwhelming interest from early users confirmed we were solving a critical, shared consumer challenge.
Building this also revealed a deeper issue: a complete lack of consolidated, reliable product and price history data across South African retailers. That data gap doesn't only hinder consumers — it holds back businesses, developers, and the entire retail ecosystem.
Right now you can search products, compare prices at Checkers, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Woolworths and Dis-Chem, and keep a shopping list in one place. Prices come from the stores' own listings, so they can move — give the page a refresh if you want the latest.
We're still students, still learning, and still working on what comes next. If something feels off or you've got an idea, we'd rather hear it.
